In 1972 our chocolate toy poodle was shown to his Championship by professional handler Lew (Louis) Grello. 

The Italian guy you either hated or loved.  No in-between.  Scooter was also handled from time to time

 by Lew's assistant Jordon Chamberlin.  Many memories of the early dog years in Port Penn, De.,

 at the Keene Estate will remain with me forever.  Martha & Sue and others.  Lew loved to

scissor the poodles and stand them up again and again to see the wonderful creations he could do with his magic hands. 

He passed on some years ago, but will be remembered and loved.

 Hopefully, he and my Scooter are up there running around the show ring.
